Logo displayed?
Yes, it is in the top left hand corner.
Yes, it is fairly small and doesn’t really stand out over the images displayed.
No, I can’t view a logo at visit glance of the website. The title of the company is large so that may be the logo.
How many pages does the website contain?
It has a lot. About 10 main pages but in each main pages there is about 10 more pages about products etc.
There is 4 main pages including the home tab. Like the ‘Health Food Website’ there is several products pages on each main page.
About 10 main pages and 8 sub-pages.
Is there eternal links?
No, from what I could see all the information was on the website, it doesn’t go onto other websites.
There is no other links to other websites on ‘The Iconic.’
No.
Navigation
The navigation is good. I like the way when you hover your mouse over a tab it comes up with the sub-links.
Yes, I like the way they have the three main headings (women, men’s, sports) this makes it easier to make your way around the website.
There is a lot going on the website. It is hard to browse but easy to find something if you know what you’re looking for and the category it is in.
Contact Details
You have to scroll right to the bottom to find the contact link. They have included all information – address, phone, email.
Yes they include the phone number but it’s at the bottom of the website at it is hard to locate.
The contact link is really easy to find. It’s very easy to find (top right corner). The link provides all details and is clear, easy to read.

Images/Pictures?
They are colourful and attracting. They don’t show off the products to the best ability.
I think the pictures are displayed very well. They are large so they grab your attention.
I love the pictures used on this website. They are large and eye catching. They make you want to eat the products. The change every few seconds to suit everyone’s taste.
Enticing?
No, I don’t think they are that enticing.
Yes, I think it does make most viewers want to browse around the suit more.
Yes definitely. I think the photos look yummy and inviting. They do want me to look further at the website.
Quick download?
Yes

Yes
Is there 3 or more images per page?
One large and a few smaller products at the bottom.
There is 5 pictures on the home page and then lots when you look at the range of clothing available.
On the homepage there is only one, which I think is effective. On the products page there is several.

Text colour, size and
font appropriate?
I think the font is simple which can work well to not take the attraction of the products.
Yes, I like the font used, it’s classy but simple.
Yes the use of text was done well.
Text broken into short paragraphs.
The main text is the small description of each product. I think they should have as much on the homepage about an individual product.
Yes, there is basically no text other than the main headings.
There is a lot of headings which can make it easy to navigate but there may be a few too many.
Any spelling or grammar errors?
No
No
No
Effective white space?
I don’t like the way they have used white space. They have white space on the sides but the header spreads all the way across so the images aren’t in-line.
I think this website has used white spaced very cleverly. They have it around the sides to make it look not so busy but its clean looking.
I think a bit more white space could have been effective but it works okay.
Attractive background colour?
No. I don’t like the plan blue and green colour. I don’t think it’s very inviting and it’s too simple.
Yes the colour scheme and background is the same throughout the website and it doesn’t over power the products.
I don’t think the background really matches the images epically on the home page.
Little scrolling?
On the home page there is limited and same with the products as there is several pages of products rather than them all on one large page.
On the homepage there is none but on the products page there Is a lot as they have all the products on one page.
Along with ‘The Iconic’ on the homepage there is none but on the products page there Is a lot as they have all the products on one page.

Features?
Appropriate?
Not really, there is a few pages on healthy options etc.
Yes.
From what I could see there is no odd features.
-
There is quite a lot of information about the business and things.
Yes.
Overall
Overall I think this is a reasonable website. If you don’t what an overload of images and advertising the products then it’s good. I think it’s too simple and not eye catching enough. I think you like it if you know the website and you’re looking for something in particular rather than the company persuading you do buy the products.
I like this website set out. It simple and sells the products well. It focuses on the clothes and I think it has a nice modern feel to it.
This website has a lot going on. I think there might be a few too many tabs but I think the concept is there. The images I love and they really attract viewers.

Marketing your Business

I think the five best ideas to get the product out there are:

Special Offers: Special offers encourage buyers to buy products whilst cheaper. They then taste the product to find out how good it is and then are prepared to pay a little bit more for it.

Free samples with a brochure: People tend to buy things when they know what they are buying. This means if they get given a free sample and information about the product they will remember the taste and go to buy more.

Online adverting: I think online advertising is very clever, especially considering Chai Obsessed is a online business. This means people are online when they see the advertisement and then can go straight to the website to purchase the products.

Competitions: Completions give people an incentive to buy products. They see winning something as exciting and they are happy to buy something for that chance. They then will taste the product and find out who good it is.

Quantity discounts: these are good because it means people will buy more and may give some away as presents or show their friends which will spread the brand name faster.

ASSIGNMENT 4 - PROFIT & LOSS STATMENT

Change of thought

In the holidays I started to think about my business idea in more depth and I figured it is a business idea that isn't individual. There a thousands of similar businesses out there today with the theme of healthy/fit as it is the new craze and way of our life style today. If I wanted to be successful I needed to think of something different so it stands out not just another of the same business with the same audience and the same products. Considering the first term was more about learning about enterpurers, research and running a business and I had only made the business card for my business I figured its not too late to change idea.
Below is my new business card.

My business is called Chai Obsessed. It will sell chia tea and latte syrpes, chai cakes and buscuits and I may even research into chai soaps and shower gels.
